While hiking please respect that you are walking on the traditional lands of the First Nation Xeni Gwet’in People and please never forget to treat nature and wildlife with great care and respect, for their protection and your safety.

Canoe Trips in The Chilcotin

CANOEING & BOATING

There are numerous lakes and streams in the surrounding area, many of them are accessible by car, for some a four wheel drive vehicle is mandatory. Most of the lakes offer excellent fishing opportunities. Canoes, kayaks and smaller motorboats are perfect for boating and exploring these lakes. We offer a few canoes and motorboats for rent. Nearby Chilko Lake is a big lake that allows only limited access, due to it's fast-changing weather conditions, it is advisable to check the weather forecast beforehand and you also need experience navigating boats in rough water.

Mountain Biking Nemiah Valley

MOUNTAIN BIKING

The many back roads and off-road trails in the surrounding area offer great mountain biking, whether you would just like to take your family on a day trip or plan an entire camping adventure on bikes, the possibilities are there, some are even courageous enough to take their bikes up bushwalking in the mountains it's your choice! Enjoy camping at many nice spots along the Taskeo Lake chain all the way to the Tchaikazan Valley or take a day trip right from our location to one of many beautiful scenic places.

Sightseeing is a must in this area. When traveling with your own vehicle, be aware that some of the country roads can turn muddy in bad weather conditions and can also be rough and slippery at times, a 4 wheel drive vehicle is always a good option when you come our way. 

Horseback Riding Nemiah Valley

Explore the pristine wilderness of the Nemiah Valley on

horseback, all the way up and above the alpine meadows. End your day camping overnight enjoying cheerful mountain music around a campfire under the stars, there is an adventure for every skill level. Horseback trail rides can be arranged with local outfitters upon request.
